Fire Fire !!!!

Subject: Fire Fire !!!!

Dear all

Got back to Toronto last week and luvin drivin my 89 ...... but ....

Drove home from a mates on Friday night - only about 2 miles away from home. Started the car and within a couple of blocks saw some smoke (which I assumes was steam from the RAD or something)

By the time I got home I popped the hood to see where the leak is - NO LEAK - but the part of the engine (I included an image and circled the part) was smoking/burning. Seemed the belt was smoking - the unit I highlighted was red hot - poured a little bit of water over the belt (so as to ensure no fire broke out) and the water evaporated immediately - this part of the engine was pretty much RED HOT

I have not touched the car since (Monday here today and everything is closed in Canada as it is a long weekend here) I will get her to the shop tomorrow

The shop is only a couple of miles away and can probably drive there - would you guys suggest I not do this - but rather have her towed to the shop (I do not want to make anything worse)

any thoughts on what I may be dealing with here would be greatly appreciated
