Cheap plastic accelerator pedal bracket

Subject: Cheap plastic accelerator pedal bracket
by Flashman on 2009/9/8 23:13:34

Hi All,

I had my vette out last Friday night. Some punk in a ricer burner was disrespectin Frankie. So we showed him what an American sports car can do and opened up a can of whoop as. on him. But in the process of movin and groovin, I broke the plastic gas pedal mounting bracket on my 86 vette. Why the hell would Chevrolet make that bracket plastic? I was only a few blocks from home and made it back, gas pedal hanging. Maybe the plastic got weak from all those years of firewall heat. I was going to fabricate a bracket from steel or aluminum. Has anyone ever had this happen to their vette?
