Check balls are installed as per the shop manual. Because I installed a B&M shift kit, the B&M instructions will dictate checkball placement, and it will vary depending on model year.
On this 90 core, the pic below shows correct placement. 3 OEM checkballs were ommitted.

Next, alignment pins are placed, and the gasket is lowered down. Notice the gasket placed first (against the case) is marked with a C

Modified seperator plate is installed, then the valve body gasket. Notice it is marked with a V

Checkballs are placed in the valve body, (again as per the B&M instructions), and retained with a plop of vaseline. All bolts are carefully torqued in sequence to 87 inch pounds.
Aux Valve body, crossover tube, and 1-2 accumulator cover are installed next, with the same torque spec.

I have also installed the lock up harness, and all pressure switches.
Next comes the filter, and a final once over.
Then the pan goes on, and all pan bolts are torqued to 100 inch pounds.
DO NOT use any sealer on gasket. A thin smear of vaseline is ok, but not sealers or adhesives.

Retorque after 1 week.
