Pre 88 are shitty years for a performace build. Externally, cases are the same. Internally, there are major changes to the worm track. 82-84 absolutely sucked 85-87 1/2 had quite a few improvements, and are not too bad. From 82-93, GM made hundreds of design changes. Most minor, som major, but way too many to list.
