After a year with my current set-up

Subject: After a year with my current set-up
by -=Jeff=- on 2010/7/27 15:01:04

I think I need more power....

Currently:

Arc Audio Ks300.4 (90x4) powers all the speakers

the rear speakers are Elemental Designs EU700, they give me enough bass, I have one in each stock location

fronts are:

CDT, EF6, CL4 and TW24 using the CDT ES/HD300 3-way crossovers.

TW24 and CL4 are in the stock location, EF6 is in the door. the 2 in the OEM spot are sort of aimed up towards the driver.. as much as I could.

these set-up worked decently in the 89 I had.. (with the 91) interior. but the sound in this car was not the same.. turns out I am not powering the 3 ways enough, I disconnected the rears and bridged the amp for the front.. Big improvement, I did switch it back as I have no low end that way. so I need to decide if I should sell the Arc and find a bigger 4 channel or buy a second amp..

if I do 2 amps, do to them being displayed I would like them to match.

Or give up and go back to stock.. LOL

I have an Elemental Designs Nine.2 in the house (my 89 had 2 Nine.2x amps)

so I could find another Nine.2 or a Nine.4 and they would match (nine.4 would be if I decide to go active and a 2 way)

find another ks 300.4 or 300.2 ( but they are a bit more $$) but nice amps

Dunno what to do or what would be the best
