What kind of noise were you getting? If the head, like the eclipse is delivering 8 volts to the active crossover, then the xover should be a non-issue.

I had a Digital Research (?) or Coustic active xover a few years back. It sorta helped, but in all honesty, it created its fair share of noise, too.

I would play with gains and see what happens. If the active xover has an option for balanced signal, I would consider getting the converter. Also, Pheonix amps ppl used to make voltage line driver boosters for the RCAs. Up to 18v. I used one in an older Honda Accord (well, it was new to me in 1991!). That thing had brake light pop and could never find a better way to wire it. IIRC, the battery was on the right front, and no matter what I did, I was going to pick up engine noise. So I added the RCA line booster and that killed all noise and did wonders for the amps.

I assume your battery leads are running down the left side rocker, and RCAs are running down the right side of the trans tunnel? If found that the best solution for them.

A strange as it sounds, I haven't had noise issues with the C4.
