gee... this is a good question.
My opinion, flat out, is to gut the ENTIRE Bose system, or do nothing at all.
You have the hardware, so it's not like you are waiting to save up to buy more parts.
For example, to interface the bose to the Nak, you will need adaptors, which cost money... money that will go down the drain in 30 minutes when you gut it out...
just seems to not make any sense.
Remove it all. Put it in a box and get to building stuff.
Then again, this is in the Z, so I would want to keep that thing 100% stock... just my opinion...
c'mon Bogus, you know I can't keep it stock.. LOL.
the ZR-1 as I got it, needed and still needs TLC. The interior is no longer exactly stock (colors have changed). anyway if I do an aftermarket system I will make it so going back to stock is still possible.
I guess I agree on not doing anything but I do think I will send the Cd unit out to be fixed, that way it is in working condition. The aftermarket system will go int he car.
The 89 will hopefully get sold this year and I want to enjoy the Z when I drive it.
so maybe getting the CD unit fixed is a good idea whether I use it now or not..
