I have personally had several different brands, most higher end. I had eclipse, didn't care for it personally, but they are good quality. I have also had clarion which I liked, pioneer was my favorite. I would check circuit city, see if they have any open box deals. Sometimes you can get a good deal that way and they will install it if you don't feel inclined. You are on a budget, after all (aren't we all!). Regarding aesthetics, the PO put a silver headunit in mine and it looks like ass. The only silver thing in the whole dashboard. It's not a very high end unit, either. I have to redo the entire thing because they butchered it putting it in, too. I'll get to that later. Let us know what you decide. Matthew |
