Couple of Questions Before I Start Install

Subject: Couple of Questions Before I Start Install
by Randyj75 on 2008/5/13 5:04:13

Getting ready to sound deaden my C4 coupe, and install an amp and subs in place of the 6 x9’s in the rear, but I have a couple of questions.

I would like to install the amp (Arc Audio Kar 600.4) on the back wall by attaching a piece of ¾” plywood to the rear bulkhead w/ silicone, but I am afraid it will not hold, as the amp is heavy. Has anyone done this with good/bad results?

I want/need to sound deaden the car, as the noise from the tires is unbelievable at speed. I have a Crazy Cowboy kit for the car, but I know this will not be enough. I am going to use RaaMmat and Over Kill Pro on the doors . I am also considering lining the inside of the wheel wells w/ the RaaMmat. I will also do the inside of the hatch area w/ the RaaMmat and the Over Kill Pro. Do you think one roll of RaaMmat (62.5 sq ft) will be enough? The doors and inside the car come first, as I can do the wheel wells anytime.

Any comments, ideas, or tips welcome.

Randy
