I just added a 200watt 2 channel amp to my Kenwood system. My Kenwood head unit has an aux input for MP3 players on the faceplate. The amp install was painless, but I get a buzzing sound through the speakers when I plug my MP3 player in. If I move the player around (it has a long patch cable) the feedback comes and goes. Any ideas? The system sounds great using the tuner or the CD.

Sounds to me like there is a small problem in the cable where it plugs in to the MP3 player or the jack in the MP3 player is faulty.

Try a new cable first...because they are cheaper, and then try a friend's MP3 player. Rule those out or in, and then move on to outside interference or a problem with the head unit.
