Also, have you done anything to the intake itself? It responds very nicely if you hog out the extra metal in the ports... it's like this... the intake ports are about half the size of the ports in the head... this means a little grinding and you have opened up a bucket load of free hp.

Yes, this would be the next step in improvements to remove that pump completely and to grind the intake ports. Will do this during the winter season. Do I need to buy a new gasket for the intake manifold or would it be OK with using only a high temp silicon sealer?
