Sliding sideways into the first corner in a pack of cars when the green drops is a rush that can't be described, only experienced.

I assume you bring extra underwear to these races?

I haven't done this on a regular basis since the mid 80s. But the couple of times that I've been fortunate to do so since, I was blessed to be able to show up and just drive the car. Both times I was told it was a top five car. And both times, I finished in the top five. Oval racing is more fun than should be legal with your clothes on. It's good stuff. And if I was ever of the mind to get real serious about racing again, it is what I would do. I'd love to have back the '73 Torino dirt car that I built and campaigned in the early to mid 80s. The 351 Cleveland engines I ran were extremely competitive. When I got the car hooked up, it ruled.
