I use a spray on RTV called "The Right Stuff" by Permatex for sealing the walls front and back. Another trick is to dimple the mating surfaces with a small drill bit, this gives the RTV something to bite into. Here in the states, the RTV is available in different colours, black, grey, copper. Copper is used around oil and is very good for this seal. If you cannot find either product, let me know and I will ship you a tube. The Right Stuff is pressurized, so it will have to go slow!
