Subject: Re: "Barn Find" by teebee on 2011/10/26 1:20:53 I remember in 1978 when I was still in college, we drove past the local Chevy dealer and there was a transport truck there with about 8 or 9 Pace cars on it. Well, I just had to stop and find out what was going on. One of the salesmen told me that these were all bought by the same guy who was going to store them away for "investment purposes". Apparently he had bought every one he could get his hands on.....paying a 'premium' for them. IIRC the guy was some big Texas oil man. |
