Cool cars guys!
Hey, 81c3, do you still have the factory wheels from your Z06? If so, are they for sale? :toothy5:
I don't have pix of most of these cars, but here's what I've had in order of ownership. I started driving in '87.
'72 VW Beetle (My dad and I put dual Webers and wide fenders and stuff on it) '84 Honda CRX '89 Honda Prelude '88 Toyota MR2 (Then I had kids....) '86 Chrysler Lebaron '88 Honda CRX Si '93 Ford Probe GT '95 Ford Ranger Splash '83 Toyota Celica GT '92 Ford Explorer '93 Acura Integra '68 Plymouth Fury '72 Ford F250 '86 Honda Prelude Si '01 Suzuki Esteem '89 Isuzu Amigo '93 Corvette
This does not include my motorcycles or my wife's cars. Most of the cars in this list after getting married had over 100k miles on them.
The Lebaron was the biggest POS in terms of how the car felt.
The Ford F250 was the one that gave me the most trouble.
The Plymouth Fury was the only car I ever sold at a profit. Paid $800, put about $100 into it and sold it for $1,500. Bought it in 2002 from the original owner and had it for about 18 months.
The MR2 is the car I miss the most. Bought that one and the '89 Prelude brand new. I was living at home and working as an assistant manager for a Kay Bee Toy & Hobby store in Harrisburg, PA. I think I was making like $15,000 a year, and spent almost all of it on toys. It was fun, but stupid now that I look back on it.
The Corvette is my overall favorite car that I've ever owned.
OMG, I had an 86 lebaron as well, it was the convertible with the Mark Cross leather and turbo. It was actually a really nice car and I got a ton of compliments on it. People might laugh, but the car actually got more attention then any Corvette I ever drove, especially when I had the top down on a really nice day. I miss that car. It was in the shop on a monthly basis, but it was fun to drive.
