update:
I ordered a new vent valve solenoid. The purge valve opens to create a vacuum in the tank. This checks for leaks (gas cap code). Then the vent valve opens up to get rid of the vacuum pressure. If the vacuum is still sensed by the tank sensor code P0446 is set.

The only other option is a clogged line, which I checked/cleaned last night. Unhooked the battery, and the light came back on.
