My dad almost lost his business when a customers car got away from him one night and hit some people who were spectating... A 15yr old boy was killed. Very long and drawn out lawsuit with the boys family (they sued everybody).... The car owner/driver settled out of court. Took a long time and a lot of $$$ for us to beat them. The police in the VA, MD, DC metro area where I live these days are crazy about it. I've been "talked to" by local PD and quized about why my car is "owned by an LLC" and has GA tags.
