Hey Billy. You want to take a stab at why when I engaged the cutch the pedal it stayed on the floor? I checked the master cylinder and the fluid level was under the min mark. You think it could be air in the system? Do the clutch and brakes work off the same master cylinder? That what I was drawn to believe and I haven't found a slave master. I'm still waiting for my repair manual so I've been surfing for info on the web. Some of my questions I've found answers to. Interesting. The master cylinder has a siphon bulb on top. I filled the mc and pumped it to pressure but maybe I'll have to do it a couple more times. In the mean time I'll search for more info on the cluth hydrolics.

Yep, it's air. My 84 did that when I let it sit too long... I went on a 9 month deployment. I came home and went to start it and the clutch went right to the floor and stayed there....

I just pulled it back up, using my hand to bring it back up off the floor and worked it like you would normally 2 person bleed brakes. Took a few mins but eventually it had enough peddel to stay up about 1/2 way off the floor by itself. Then I started it in gear and drove it to the shop (right up the road) and we flushed and bled the system.

Bleeding the thing was a circus act all to itself...

I seem to remember that the clutch and brakes use the same reservoir. Should be a hose going from the reservoir down and over to the clutch master. I don't remember my 84 having a siphon bulb on it. I do seem to remember the clutch master being burried next to the fender under the brake master/boster....

The slave is easy to find. Look on the bottom of the bellhousing - on the passenger side. It faces forward towards the oil pan.

Here is some really good diagrams of the systems and parts on the 928.

I used these almost every time I worked on mine, glad to see they still offer them free online. I'd hate to give you bad info as my memory is pretty good but I sold the 84 back in 2004, so alot of stuff might be fuzzy....
