Re: 1979 Porsche 928 Clutch Kit

I discussed this with him and he indicated the aftermarket kits have a much stiffer launch. My mechanic builds and races his own Porsches so I trust what he tells me. He works on a number of Porsches. We looked at a stage 1 and 2 but he suggesed I try to stay close to spec. Time is not critical here but can't move forward till we get the cluch parts. His own parts suppliers don't have everything we need. That's why he asked me to shop around. He can get some of the parts. I guess I could look specificly for what he can't find but all the parts we need come with an OEM clutch kit. OEM spec has disc #1 and disc #2. I'm going to call back the second distributor tomorrow as they say they may be able to supply me through a different company. It's more like $450 more than the out of stock kits I had ordered. $450 to me is a big price difference. Enough of a difference that I'll look around a little before I commit.
