Announcing A Long-Term Addition To The Family …

Subject: Announcing A Long-Term Addition To The Family …

... yesterday, we took delivery of a newly purchased 2020 Subaru Outback. This car is the replacement for Jeff, our 2017 Impala (which we leased).

For those that care, this is what Subaru calls the Touring XT. XT means it has the 260 bhp FA24 2.4 liter direct-injected, turbocharged, and intercooled flat four, and Touring is the highest trim level. The exterior color is Abyss Blue Pearl, and the interior is Java Brown nappa leather. There are no options available for the Touring XT: exterior features that interest me include a hands-free power rear gate and automatic power folding mirrors. Interior features of note include heated and three-mode ventilated front seats and heated outboard rear seats.

All Tourings included an 11.6-inch display, an LTE wireless hot spot (which I'm not sure we'll activate), Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Amazingly, they also still include a CD player. In addition to the engine, the XT gives us dual exhausts and sound-insulating front door glass. All 2020 Outbacks include symmetrical all wheel drive with active torque vectoring and hill descent control.

Getting a wagon of some sort is something Ivelis has always wanted. We have yet to choose a name.
