It's interesting... everyone seems to have owned that one car that gets into situations... wrecks, tickets... whatever.

Mine was my first Prelude. A 1992 Prelude Si. I bought it new in September 1992. Over the 18 months I owned it, I caught 2 tickets and 1 accident... and then the final accident, not my fault cause I wasn't in the car!! My niece drove it into a tree. The cars death came in March 1994. My niece was fine, thankfully.

I wasn't too badly hurt on that, financially. I bought the car for $17,300. It was dealer demo, so I was able to knock off money because of mileage and the fact they already ate the floorplanning expense!

When it was totaled, thanks to me making extra principle payments, the loan was down to $12,995. State Farm was my insurance company and they covered the claim, and paid me $16,995! I drove the thing for 25k miles and 18 months for $300!!

My niece covered the deductible.
