I have a sumpro scanner that has a 90 page manual and it has a button for the check engine light and it has a button to check the ABS for codes. It won't fit my style vette. 90-91 but it does alot of other GM veichles. Yours free if you pay shipping. I have never used it so have no idea if it works or how it works....It does not have a readout. It just makes the lights flash and it has the bookles that tells yout he codes for that specific veichle. Hopeyou get it worked out. FYI, when we used autozone pads on our explorer, they lasted about 6 months then they were shot. We did alot of driving though. Upgraded to Napa and they lasted longer. Just thought I would share that. Don't know anything about brakes but you have my best wishes finding the problem!

Here is the scanner I have but it's for chevys and not fords. It looks identical to that one. By Sunpro.
