I don't know if its worth the money to buy all the programming and cables for the laptop. The car is a 95 and its got 200K on it.

I took a look at the site you posted. Already saw it. Good information though.

I use all data, which is basically an online form of the FSM. The FSM always tells you to use a scan tool. Of course it does not specify which one. I am thinking the GM TECH I or II probably has fittings to go backwards and forwards. I know the Snap-on Red Brick I used to use had fittings for all makes and models, but I no longer have access to that.
