Look in the storage compartment behind the passenger seat and you will find your RPO codes, which will tell you the rear end ratio. GM1 is 2.59, G-92/G-44 is the 3.07. Sorry I can't help you with the tranny problems. Perhaps pcm4less can tell you if it is a programming problem.
