Subject: Re: Hello from Arizona by 84Xfire on 2012/7/22 15:55:39 Thanks guys, you have a way of making someone feel right at home! My kids got it for me, knowing full well that I wouldn't spring for one. Being a first year C4 and a late in the production year unit, it does present challenges at times; for example, did you know that the '84 had 3 coolant sensors??...go figure. If any one of them is non-op, no temp gauge! The FSM doesn't even show a low level coolant sensor in the radiator...it must have been an evolutionary thing as there is no low coolant light on the DIC. It took a month of searching to find out that it came with '99 T/A wheels on it. It has a LCD screen where the breadbox was and a backup camera mounted above the rear emblem. I want to put in a DVD player for passenger comfort on long trips eventually. The 'vette has been on a couple of trips to Vegas already as my family lives there and the trips have been comfortable for the stiff ride the Z51 offers, but around town, it's semi-daily driver...just to work and back, which is a 14 mile highway trip...our other ride is a Lincoln Executive Series (the better half's ride). Enough yackin' from me...thanks again for the warm welcome. |
