Prepping For An NCRS Regional Judging |
Subject: Prepping For An NCRS Regional Judging by j3studio on 2018/8/7 0:39:31 Prepping Lauren for regional NCRS judging really began on Saturday, August 4th when I got her through state inspection—I don't have a trailer, so I need to be legal to drive the 225 or so miles. Yesterday (August 5th), I staged the car in the garage on top of the canvas cloth/plastic sheet combination that Guru suggested. I angled the steering wheel hard to the left in preparation for replacing the battery. Today (August 6th), I swapped the battery from last year's emergency replacement Die Hard to the correct service replacement AC Delco. The swap went fine, with two small problems: 1) The bolt in the blade battery disconnect switch isn't quite long enough for the inside of the AC Delco battery terminal. I'll have to get a slightly longer bolt. 2) One of the body clips behind the driver's side fender panel has disappeared (the bottom of the fender panel is a little sketchy—the panel will eventually need to be replaced), so I'll have to get a replacement. 46 days to go. |
