Yesterday (August 11th): I hurt my back (it's a very poor design) so I didn't get much work done on the car. I did, however, secure some u nuts at Lowes (no joy on a longer bolt for battery disconnect). I also gave in and ordered a pitch gauge and a nut and bolt gauge so I can stop guessing at part sizes (should have done that years ago).

Today (August 12th): my back feels a little better, so I successfully got the driver's side fender panel reinstalled with no extra parts . I told Ivelis how the missing piece on the panel makes the task a little challenging. She looked at me—"You should get that fixed." she said, referencing our local Corvette restoration shop.
