Subject: Re: Engine swap update by wesmigletz on 2008/11/19 4:11:36 Well, I swapped to a different upper pulley, and moved the alt forward. That, and judicious use of washers (spacers) has everything aligned with the Edelbrock pump. I set the timing, but haven't gotten to the mixture screws yet. I got it idling around 725-750 RPM. I'll see where it ends up once I set the mixture screws. The idle has a slight lope, sounds smoother than the solid F/T cam. Curious to see whether or not it will make more vacuum. Aside from that, I still need to bolt the fan on. Then a quick road test, and finally re-lashing the valves. I hope to be able to take it for a spin tomorrow. |
