Speaking of finding stuff, besides the putty, I had this little gift from GM under the windshield. They filled the windshield gap with dum-dum and then a black sealant that is a freekin' mess. The windshield molding clips shown in the pics (the square things)had to be restored cause the repos don't work well.
They're put in with screws, pull em, clean out the sealent with a knife, soak in mineral spirits for 2 days to remove the rest of that black shit, glass bead them and paint all 21 of them.
Yea, you should be able to restore a car in 3 weeks.
