The assembly of my 65 L79 Coupe

Subject: The assembly of my 65 L79 Coupe
by JrRifleCoach on 2022/7/29 5:01:18

Its been a long project up to this point. Deconstructing, researching, grinding, blasting, sanding, painting 50+ years of GM & bubbas fuckups. Bubba has ruined many C2's over the years and trying to get this one into presentable shape is my greatest challenge. There have only been a few ares that have remained as from the factory. Its a numbers matching example. Chassis, body, engine and transmission (diff) are original. My restoration will not be NCRS correct as the front clip and hood have been replaced with aftermarket and other year model parts. But I will maintain the paint and interior colors as the trim label indicates. After pulling off the body, a full restoration plus frame alignment and rust damage repairs were conducted. Likewise the body was inspected, sanded to primer and repaired to original lines. The entire drivetrain and suspension has been overhauled to original specs. Although I did cheat with a 365SHP cam and solids. For now the engine compartment/interior is getting freshened and painted. Next is all new wiring.
