Subject: Re: Curt's new Hydrobooster. by Durango_Boy on 2009/4/30 0:26:31 A Hydrobooster is a hydraulic power brake booster that assists the brakes using power steering hydraulics instead of engine vacuum. Installing it is a simple matter of removing the vacuum booster, putting the Hydrobooster in it's place, and running pressure and return lines for the power steering fluid. It essentially gets installed after the pump and before the control valve. Keep in mind C3s did not have the R&P steering yet. More pics. Removed the seat so I could lay on my back looking up under the dash to get to the impossibly 4 nuts. Took 2 extensions, two wobbles, a deep wall socket, and a ratchet. The headband mounted flashlight helped too so I could see what I was doing. The beer was the most important aspect of the project.
