Exhaust headers for 69 350/350

Subject: Exhaust headers for 69 350/350
by 69Lobster on 2011/4/21 19:19:38

Hello,

Can anyone help me choose good headers or complete system for my 69 350/350?

The headers I have now and the secondary pipes, are in bad condition.

As you can see, the headers are going down slanted to the back.

I imagine, that a complete kit with mufflers and everything will probably be the best buy.

My mufflers are just two years old and I have not used the car much since I have replaced them, but probably to buy just new headers and the intermediate pipes will cost almost like a complete new system. What do you think?

Can you also tell me how the rear pipes before the mufflers should be held up close to the car body?

I am planning to remove the air pump antipollution system, that was probably added when the vehicle was registered in California. Do you think, that this is a good idea?

Thank you very much for the help

Stefano
