wider fenders

Subject: wider fenders
by 69Lobster on 2011/4/22 13:08:18

Hello,

Can anyone recognize these fenders?
I bought this car back in 1990 and would like to find out if these fenders were an aftermarket option in the 60's or if it is just a one of a kind mod.

I have American Racing rims, 295/50R15 in the back and 245/60R15 in the front.

Do you think, that someone could have replaced the front of the car with a later model since the air outlets on the sides, behind the front fenders do not have louvers and look more like on a 73 than on a 69 Corvette?
Strange, that it still has the front bumper. Maybe just the side louvers were removed?

Thank you
Stefano
