1972 L48, no start |
Subject: 1972 L48, no start by bogus on 2014/10/20 1:26:41 I am working on that relentlessly original 72 coupe... and it won't start. Fresh battery, good strong cranking, but no start... added fresh fuel and using starting ether. If it was a fuel problem, I would expect the ether to at least get it to sputter and quit, vs just cranking. So... tests so far: 1. pulled plug wire, ground to manifold, no spark. 2. Cleaned points, cleaned contacts to coil, no change. 3. no power to coil... used DVM to test for voltage, none measured. 4. found a key lock in the middle of the rear, like a truck lock, but it controls an alarm, could I be dealing with an immobilizer? |
