Looks like fun! I'd love to do a C3 rebuild one day. I did a '77 Z28 a few years back just because I owned one in the day. Older dirty motors are amazing to bring back to life. I kind of had the same experience when taking the motor apart. I found metallic shavings but nobody could figure out where they came from.
