Lingenfelter says that the pump sits in a lower area of the tank that always has fuel in it to keep the pump emersed in fuel and thus cooler. I have always tried to run anything we have with adequate levels of fuel just for that purpose. Back it the early 90's we had acouple of vehicles go down on the road with bad fuel pumps. I am sure things have gotten a lot better since then. They are still stupidly expensive. |
