ABS problems are common...or becoming more common with age. The EBCM is super expensive and discontinued. The 1997-2000 models are particularly affected. 2001-2004 use a different unit.

Apparently for 97-00 code C1214 C1281 they can be repaired, all others seem to be a no go:
