The hotter they get, the more they pick up. All perfectly normal. The pick up you're seeing will be removed in a couple corners on the street even at lower speeds. If you've watched a oval or road race and seen the cars weaving back and forth before the start, they aren't warming up the tires, they are scrubbing off the pickup. The Z06 I instructed in last weekend had a set of Generals on. He had almost no pickup on the tires but the car did tend to slide a bit more in the corners (not a big deal and doesn't mean anything bad about Generals). |
