If the grime won't come off with scrubbing and simple green, how does it come off on your hands?
Kevin, I'm not concerned about the clear-coat. It is 20 years old, and the wheels need to be stripped and refinished.
The grime is very thick, and the degreaser just turns the top surface into an 'ooze' that just smears with scrubbing. Sure, some grime is removed, but when you are 80+, scrubbing grime is not a high priority.
As I mentioned in my first post..... I want to clean the wheels with little, or no effort (spray and rinse, if possible). If the next owner wants to refinish the wheels, I would like to present a clean wheel.
