Subject: Re: What's your polish/wax routine? by Flashman on 2009/7/9 13:48:52 Heres my waxing routine for Frankie: 1. Wash car- Deep Purple wash & wax shampoo 2. Clean wheel- Brown Royal or Cherry bomb cleaner 2. Malco nano polishing creme (swirl remover/cleaner polish 3. Finish with Malco nano polymer cleaner wax or Flash wax 4. use a detail or tooth brush and remove wax from moldings, emblems etc. 5. Mist Grape Gloss spray wax to clean glass & painted surfaces 6. dress tires, plastic moldings & weatherstrip Aqua gloss dressing 7. Vacuum interior and apply leather conditioning creme to seats, steering wheel & shifter boot 8. Have a cold drink-Prefer jack & coke I dont understand why I see so many guys doing all of this washing and stripping off the old wax. Detailing your car for 8 hours and breaking your backs? These chemicals companies that tell you to do this are pulling your chain. I have used different products on many different vehicles and never had a problem.I mostly use Malco products since the mid 1980's. The quality is as good as 3M and easy to use. The only time you want to strip a car down is if you have contaminates, paint overspray, tree sap, waterspots, bugs and tar. You can apply wax over other wax. The only difference is using silicone and non-silicone products. Take care. Joe Flash man |
