Hi Everyone,
On Saturday, March 7th, an enthusiastic group of 27 Corvette Enthusiasts from EMCC, Bay State, and the Corvette Forum cruised down to Old Lyme, Ct to Callaway Corvette. Callaway's Mike Vendetto took us on an informative tour of their facilities. While we were there we got to drool over some of Callaway's latest offerings. After an informative tour, many of us headed back to Providence, where we stopped for lunch in the Italian section of Federal Hill.
On Saturday, April 4th, the Bowtie Shop will be hosting its 3rd annual open house. The Bowtie shop offers restoration and repair for Corvettes and other special interest cars. Among the cars on display will be Joe Scafidi's recently purchased 53 Corvette and Joe's Z06, which may not sound too special, until you realize that it is an ultra rare 63 Z06. The open house runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We will leave from the McDonald's on Rte 30 in Natick at 9:30 AM. The McDonald's is 3/4 of a mile west of exit 13 on the Mass Pike, and just behind the Wal Mart on Rte 9 in Framingham. There will be parking next door at Shopper's World, for those of you who want to car pool. Please let me know if you plan on meeting us at McDonalds.
Bay State Corvette Club's 1st two autocrosses will be held on Sunday May 3rd and Sunday May 31st, at the Devens Recreational Facility in Ayer. You must pre-register to run, but all you have to do is show up to watch. To register, go to Baystatecorvetteclub.com and click on the link for NESHOC. You will be able to register on that site.
The good weather is here, so let's get out there and drive our Corvettes.
