Nice! Did it run hard?

WOW, I forgot about posting this one.

It ran pretty good. It had a warmed over 383 with a 4 speed and 4.10 or better rear end. Quick car, but ran out of steam quickly. The 4 speed made this car fun. That car actually stuck to the ground better than my current C4.

The most memorable experience was when all 5 lugs sheered off. I was in a school zone, coasting about 20 mph when it happened. The rear raised up about 4", then WHAM, rotor slammed to the ground, sparking and making some horrendous noises. I was able to slide it into a gas station parking lot before it came to a stop. Helplessly watching the tire roll by and into a 4 way stop intersection, hitting a Toyota truck was something that I will not ever forget! I had to remove and rebuild the entire rear end. Funny thing is that the body actually rode up the tire, but somehow had no cracking or paint damage?? I was lucky to be going 20 and not 70.

I wish I still had it.

TommyT - now this wasn't that long ago.... I bought it in 2000 and sold it in 2005(ish), the picture style just make it look like they are old.
