SCCA Vetrans step inside

Subject: SCCA Vetrans step inside
by biggrizzly on 2010/11/30 20:33:14

I just joined SCCA because I want to begin participating in their Solo events here in the Washington DC Region during the spring and they will soon be offering subscription registrations for next season.

When I started going through their rulebook trying to define classification for my car I almost flipped trying to figure out their classification schema. I thought NCCC was bad at classifying. Anyhow the classification is probably great, its just communicating that information to me that I'm having trouble with.

Any of you SCCA Corvette drivers know of a simple classification table or something like that. I know that NCCC has a table that lists all the classes and what is allowed and what is not allowed.

For NCCC my car is Group 3ME, primarily due to engine modifications. However when looking at the SCCA stuff it was difficult to even figure out where a Corvette fits into the whole scheme.
