which means the stuff taken with the Nikon D750 should about kick ass!
In hindsight, the best combination I have for the night pictures is the Nikon Df with its 50 mm prime. However, lugging that incredibly conspicuous camera all over France would probably not have been a good idea. For great night shots at Le Mans, I leave it to the pros ...
John - Don't fret Europe... I carried a D200 all over.
The one thing I will suggest, check with your insurance company. State Farm offers a personal property policy. I have one, and our laptops, my Rolex and Nikon D810 are all on it. Covered for REPLACEMENT value.
If in 3 years, the D810 is stolen, lost or whatnot, I am entitled to replace it... at that point, I will get a check for what I paid for the D810. No depreciation.
The Rolex gets appraised every few years, and replacement is adjusted yearly.
