Just got back from the track... a few first hand observations:

* The weather was PERFECT. A bit chilly in the morning, down into the upper 40s... But it warmed up into the low 80s with crystal clear skies.

* The Corral was PACKED. 225 Corvettes, one Cadillac SUV and a Camry... The Camry was towed. So was the Caddy.

* The Corral attendance was super, the rest? Not so much. The Porsche Platz was packed. In general, there were more race fans... vs the casual fan. Then again, there were no vintage events this year, nor as many support events - no Star Mazda or things of that nature. Without those classes, there was a lot more space in the north paddock. I also noticed that all the race teams were in the same area at the back of the paddock along Ullman Straight. There were also more designated parking lots in the paddock.

* Cell service out at the track is crap. It sucks. Too many people, not enough circuits!!

I will post some pics later. I have to finish processing them and then I will add some. I have some on my facebook page already.
