They all pass the same test for SA certification. Are the expensive ones tested to a higher standard? If you're just getting a feel for the sport, rent one or get the cheapest helmet that fits and is approved by your group. You can get used ones off craigslist/ebay or a cheap open face for under $150 new. Buying fancy new equipment then discovering you're really not hooked on the sport, kinda sucks. |
