Re: Auto Lifts |
Subject: Re: Auto Lifts by BillH on 2008/11/17 15:15:18 I saw one at "Hot August Nites" last year. They don't look quite as crappy as some out there. They're made by direct lift. The cheap one, $1,700 may not have the better locking system that the $2,000 has, you can't tell from the catalog. There are no approvals on these lifts, Direct Lift does state that they're made in a ISO 9001 factory. There were a few complaints on the web last winter BUT, I can't remember if they were about the lifts, the service or whatever. There's some really bad ones out there that I wouldn't even walk under. I'm not big on having the highest dollar equipment (Like Snap-On) in my shop but the exception would be a lift. When I get mine (2 post) it will be a Bend Pak. The medimum duty BendPak is a 9,000 lb., compared to the ProPark 9,000, there's only a $2-300 dollar difference and you usually can get free shipping on a BP. For me, It's like the $50 helmit rule. |
