Ugh. I figured they'd have different classes or something. So can I sign up with my pickup and be a rolling roadblock?

It would be great if each class could have a separate race. It does happen sometimes, like Spec Miata in N.Calif., which can see 60+ entrys these days. It all depends on the number of cars entered in each class. You can only fit 5 to 7 run groups in a 2 day race. So you have to combine classes with lower entrys with each other to maximize the track usuage. 5 years ago in Norcal, the Formula Fords had their own class/race, 40 entrys. This dropped off and the FFs have to run with the Formula V's and F500s, both rolling roadblocks.
When the economy's good it gets hard to fit all the cars in anyway. 6 or so years ago, Laguna Seca had 529 entrys and they had to turn people away because the pits were totally full.

Miatas, rolling roadblocks, yep, they're slow compared to most on the track. An EVO will always blow away a Miata like the vid.
I'd much rather be in the faster car in a combined class than the slower.
It gets really insane in a NASA endurance race if you're in a Miata and the car on the pole is a Rolex Daytona Prototype and there's 80+ cars on the track.
