Subject: Why do people keep posting crashes? by SpectatorRacing on 2009/10/12 4:26:40 This is starting to annoy me. We all know racing has its dangers, but why do we need to have it all over this forum? If there's something to be learned, sure, let's talk about how it can be avoided. But I like to think of the guru folks as a bit more than the NASCAR "I like to see the crashes" crowd. How many "this guy was an idiot with lots of money" posts do we need? I see crashes every weekend, but 99.99% of the time the driver walks away due to proper safety equipment. What is to be gained by seeing people's carnage? People get hurt, but if you've never heard of the guy does a "is he ok" post really mean anything? Let's talk about racing here - ALMS, Koni, F1, hell, even NASCAR. And those of us who turn laps on a track hopefully have stories to tell as well. But I don't need to see any more crash photos. I've seen them already in real life. |
