@14, I worked in a gas station that sponsored a 3 car team. I was on the crew for 4 years. We had a 60 Pontiac (national record holder), a 59 Corvette and a Willys. The the main strip was York US30 Dragaway. We were all over the east coast and went to Indy when it was the only nationals. Dick sold the Pontiac and bought one of the Bounty Hunters from Bob Banning Dodge.
And my cousin, Dave Strickler was pardners withe Bill Grumpy Jenkins, they put on the "Strickler/Jenkins Performance Clinics" at the tracks.
One hell of a way to grow up, we were at the track every weekend in the summer.
